About the Role
Kamish Excavating is hiring an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our crew in the St. Paul, MN area. If you take pride in running iron the right way — safely, precisely, and productively — we want to hear from you. This is a full-time, union-wage position with steady work and room to grow.
What You'll Do
- Safely and efficiently operate a skid loader and excavator on excavation, grading, and site work projects
- Read and follow site plans, grade stakes, and daily job instructions
- Perform routine equipment inspections, greasing, and basic maintenance; report mechanical issues promptly
- Work closely with the ground crew and foreman to keep the job moving and on schedule
- Follow all company, OSHA, and jobsite safety policies at all times
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of hands-on experience operating a skid loader and excavator
- Valid driver's license (CDL a plus)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety and equipment operation best practices
- Reliable, punctual, and a solid team player
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor as needed
