What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crib Attendant position at Kamatics Corporation?
Kamatics, a division of Kaman, specializes in self-lubricating bearings and engineered products. We have a great opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Crib Attendant to join our team in Bloomfield, CT on Day shift. The core hours for the position are 7:00am to 3:30pm and we are currently running one hour of mandatory overtime, offered at the front end of the shift for a required 45 hours a week. Overtime pay is 1.5x the hourly rate for all hours in excess of 40 in a week.

Our products are used in space, aviation, marine, hydropower and other industrial applications. As an industry leader we design, test and manufacture the highest performing, self-lubricating, roller element, metal to metal and miniature bearings in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Order product and supplies for production; ensure that requisitions are complete.
- Check incoming materials and supplies. Report shortages. Stock shelves. Deliver supplies to areas.
- Maintain records, including data entry. Post receipts and withdrawals.
- Attend to service counter in support of Operations employees and Value Streams. Provide information to employees to assist with decisions.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Report safety incidents to supervisor.
- Make recommendations for improvements to work processes. Contribute to 5S program in work area.
- Provide a high level of service to all internal and external customers. Contribute to positive teamwork environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Participate in training/learning other positions. Accomplish related results as needed.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED
Experience:
- 1 of Manufacturing, shop supply, tool room experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 40 pounds
- Frequent walking and standing
- Occasional sitting
