What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Fireproofing Sprayer position at Kaloutas?
Job Requirements:
- Apply fireproofing materials to required thicknesses with efficiency and minimal overspray or waste
- Operate and maintain fireproofing equipment and paint pumps (Graco, Titan, Hy-Flex, Putzmeister, Cool, mixers, etc.)
- Set up, clean, and maintain hoses, pumps, and trade-related equipment
- Record daily cup-weights to ensure maximum yield and proper adhesion
- Safely work from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding
- Follow OSHA standards and Kaloutas safety procedures—safety is non-negotiable
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality results on every project
- 3–5 years of fireproofing spraying experience
- OSHA-10 required (OSHA-30 is a plus or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with construction sites and a solid understanding of construction basics
- Ability to read structural blueprints and spray charts
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to Pass a Background Check
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a team-first mindset
- Ability to lift equipment and work on your feet throughout the day
- Willingness to travel throughout the New England region
