About the Role
Athenix Pasadena is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to join our team. This role is key to ensuring a smooth and positive patient experience from consultation through surgery. The Surgical Coordinator provides administrative and scheduling support to both operational and clinical teams, with an emphasis on optimizing surgical scheduling, maintaining accurate records, and delivering excellent customer service.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the primary scheduling contact for patient surgical procedures.
- Coordinate with consultants, nurses, and surgeons to maximize the surgical schedule.
- Input, manage, and maintain accurate patient data in multiple systems, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Manage patient invoicing, payments, and refunds within the company’s accounting system.
- Support patients by answering questions, coordinating after-care services, and ensuring a high-quality patient experience.
- Maintain accurate consult and surgical tracker logs.
- Escalate urgent patient issues to the Practice Manager as needed.
- Keep surgical calendars and trackers updated, including new, adjusted, and canceled appointments.
- Partner with the Practice Manager, OR/Nurse Manager, and surgeons to fill open surgical slots.
- Assist with general office and operational support as directed by management.

Education & Experience
- High School Diploma (required).

- Experience managing multiple physicians’ schedules (required).
- Customer service background with strong communication skills.
