Team Lead - Day Shift - 2-2-3

 Position Details:

• Shift: Day Shift
• Schedule: 2/2/3 Rotation (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)

About the Role:

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for operating the batching computer, overseeing the control room, and managing hand-add areas. The primary objective is to ensure efficient and effective feed batching and pelleting processes. This role also includes maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within the control room environment. The Lead will report directly to the Shift Supervisor and is expected to be a proactive and effective communicator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the batching of ingredients required for feed pelleting.
• Prepare and distribute daily production reports via email.
• Document equipment downtime and promptly notify supervisors of any issues.
• Ensure all mill team members adhere to established procedures and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with inventory control to maintain adequate stock levels for efficient batching.
• Troubleshoot production challenges and coordinate with the maintenance team for resolution.

 Qualifications & Requirements:

• Certified to operate a forklift, or ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to consistently lift 50lbs.
• Physical stamina to climb multiple flights of stairs throughout a shift.
• Comfortable working at heights.
• Proven experience in a warehouse or feed mill environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and leadership.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
