Job Title: Maintenance Control Assistant Manager

Shift: Full Time - 1st Shift
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for Maintenance Control Department processes. Must identify any changes that will enhance departmental process quality, and submit Maintenance Program Revision Requests for applicable policy and procedure changes.
- Scheduling of all aircraft maintenance performed by Outstation Maintenance
- Ensure that the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) Deferred Maintenance Item (DMI/CDL/COI) process is carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures detailed in the KA GMM.
- Monitor the Deferred Maintenance Items (DMI/CDL/COI) on a daily basis to ensure there are no MEL conflicts, and oversee their timely correction within the time/cycle/day limits prescribed in Company Operations Specifications.
- Actively participate on the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) Review Board.
- Ensure daily communication / coordination with the planning, technical services, and operations managers in preparing Maintenance Action Plans for time limited items, DMI/COI, or other requirements in order to be compliant with Company procedures and FAA regulations.
- Provide total maintenance support for all charter operations, spare part kits, etc.
- Monitor and schedule maintenance work for off route aircraft discrepancies
- Coordinate major schedule changes or maintenance requirements with Outstations.
- Provide reports of mechanical difficulties to Maintenance Management.
- Provide technical assistance to Outstation Maintenance as required
- Monitor pilot reports, maintenance related delay causes, finding from scheduled Outstation Maintenance Checks, and all corrective actions taken for irregularity trends, repeat items, or items needing additional troubleshooting.
- Initiate corrective action instruction for repeat items and items determined to need additional troubleshooting, and provide a method of follow-up that ensures compliance and information feedback.
- Prioritize aircraft open maintenance items.
- Maintain a current open maintenance item data priority for each aircraft and provide the information to maintenance stations on a daily basis.
- Monitor LMP status and report the status to appropriate departments. Ensure that procedures for the control of LMP are utilized and performed.
- Monitor all line station activity.
NOTE: The Maintenance Control Assistant Manager may delegate any assigned duties to any qualified assistant; however, such delegation does not relieve them of overall responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS:
10 years of aircraft maintenance experience preferred
5 years of supervisory experience preferred
FAA Airframe & Power Plant Certificate preferred
Individual must be organized and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Company Software
Must be authorized to work in the United States
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable.
Must have a good working knowledge of world geography and flight operations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written directions.
