Position Summary
The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Consultant is responsible for supporting the overall 
revenue cycle process through policy implementation, training, and hands-on assistance. This 
role serves as a key resource to assigned KHG facility RCM or Assistant RCM (ARCM) when 
needed and by ensuring billing and collection practices align with company standards and goals. 
Essential Job Functions
Serve as interim RCM and/or ARCM at facilities with open positions, performing all core 
functions including but not limited to: 
o Daily census posting and reconciliation 
o Daily deposit posting and reconciliation 
o Managing resident trust accounts, including petty cash and reconciliation 
o Billing and collections of current and outstanding accounts 
o Completing month-end close, including posting ancillary charges 
o Performing duties as outlined in the RCM monthly calendar 
Assist facilities with resolution of accounts and payers as assigned 
Train facility RCMs and ARCMs in revenue cycle processes according to policy
Provide weekly progress reports for each facility assigned 
Support special projects and audits as assigned 
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
Ensure HIPAA compliance at all times
Travel locally and out-of-area, including overnight stays, as necessary 
Perform other related duties as assigned
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance

Qualifications:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required 
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in revenue cycle management required
Experience in the skilled nursing facility (SNF) industry required
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and other relevant computer systems 
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Understanding of state and federal regulations related to healthcare billing 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities independently
High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
Demonstrate integrity and professionalism in all interactions
Commitment to resident rights and ethical practices
Ability to adapt effectively to changing environments and priorities 
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills 
Language and Mathematical Skills
Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents in English 
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents, families, staff, and 
external stakeholders
Competent in basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, 
percentages, and decimals
Physical Requirements
Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively (with or without assistive devices) 
Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds 
Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and stooping 
Must be able to work under mental and emotional stress 
Must be physically capable of performing all essential job functions with or without 
reasonable accommodation 
Working Conditions
Standard office environment with minimal hazards 
Facility environments may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and 
interactions with long-term care residents and staff
May involve potential, though not likely, exposure to bloodborne pathogens 

Salary : $28 - $35
