Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Manager
Division: Operations
Department: Warehousing/Distribution
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary: This position is responsible for assisting day-to-day production and scheduling of work performed at the distribution center.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in the successful and timely flow of production work. Assist with and oversee all work that is set-up during the day with emphasis on Retail.
- Establishes and maintains designated work areas and arrange as needed; ensure orderly and safe conditions at all times. Ensure proper working condition of work areas, grounds, trucks, tools, fixtures and equipment; arrange for repairs/replacements as needed.
- Responsible for working with the Warehouse Manager to ensure accurate and timely shipping and receiving of all subcontract work materials and finished products.
- Establishes and maintains inventory control systems for all raw and finished materials; keep inventory current at all times; notify customers of any inventory shortages.
- Assists in the preparation of and/or conduct time studies necessary to establish accurate consumer hourly rates and piece rates used to provide accurate contract bids for current and future business.
- Works with consumers on an individual and group basis to maintain order of warehouse.
- Recommends tools, fixtures, equipment or layout changes to improve workflow, productivity, quality of consumer performances. Recommend improved methods, records, etc. to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Monitors and provide for the quality assurance of the finished product, and delivery date deadlines necessary for each contract.
- Arranges for regular removal and recycling of appropriate production boxes, plastics, paper, etc.
- Performs other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by Warehouse Manager.
- Monitors receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly and indirectly, supervises employees in the Warehouse Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Some college degree or technical training preferred. Two (2) to three (3) years of warehouse or supply chain management or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates and Licenses:
· Valid driver's license
· Forklift certification
Knowledge, Skills, and Other Abilities:
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency
· Experienced in at least one ERP & WMS system preferably NetSuite
· Time management skills
· Ability to manage and improve processes
· Data entry management skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $865.00 - $1,092.00 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
