The Ideal candidate must be able to perform inspections and make needed repairs on Ready Mix trucks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose electrical problems and perform mechanical repairs and maintenance to various types of equipment including but not limited ready mix concrete trucks and other heavy equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance such as oil changes and failure analysis.
- Perform routine inspections/adjustments on mixer trucks following DOT requirements.
- Complete paperwork on daily repairs/services detailing work performed.
- Coordinate with supervisor and review Pre-Trip truck inspections to prioritize work
- Communicate with drivers and plant managers to help ensure preventative vehicle maintenance policies and practices are being followed.
- Use a wide variety of hand and power tools, cutting torches and welding equipment
- Order and pick up parts from vendors when needed.
- May assist in the maintenance and repair of fixed equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years’ experience
- Experience with diesel engines and hydraulic systems
- Willingness to work varied shift hours and overtime as needed
- Valid Driver's License
- Must have a willingness to learn
