This position provides math tutoring services to students enrolled in Kalamazoo Valley math courses. Services include both one-on-one and small group tutoring at the Texas Township Campus, Arcadia Commons Campus, and virtually. Hours may include weekdays and weekends during daytime and/or evenings.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants interested in tutoring must possess a 3.0 grade point average or better in the discipline and have excellent communication skills.
Successful completion of Calculus 1 and Calculus 2 is required.
Successful completion is defined as having earned at least a 3.0 (on a 0.0 - 4.0 scale) when taken the class for the first time.
Candidates must submit copies of unofficial transcript records.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Physical Demands: Work Hours: Tutoring services are open Monday - Thursday: 9 am - 7 pm, Friday: 9 am - 3 pm, and Saturday 10 am - 2 pm. Potential candidates must have availability during these hours and will be scheduled 10-29 hours weekly depending on semester and need.
