Title I Tutor
Scope of Responsibilities
The Title I Hourly Tutor, under the direct supervision of a highly qualified teacher, tutors identified Title I students, on an "as- needed" basis, as determined by student assessment and identified needs, utilizing a flexible schedule, and at varying times throughout the school year.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency (GED) and at least one of the following Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) qualifications:
- Two years of study (at least 60 credit hours) at an institution of higher education;
- ACT WorkKeys Assessment with a passing score in all three areas, Reading - level 4, Mathematics – level 4, Writing – level 3
- Basic Skills Test of the Michigan Teacher for Certification with passing scores; or
- Education Testing Service (ETS) Paraprofessional Assessment with a passing level of 460.
- Technology skills to support online testing.
- Ability to communicate clearly and express ideas.
- Ability to develop rapport with students.
- Ability to follow instructions given by the classroom teacher.
- Ability to follow policies and procedures in a secure setting.
- Complete and submit biweekly time sheets. Maintain work activity logs.
- Complete and submit Time and Effort Reports (i.e., Monthly Federal Certification Forms and Personnel Activity Reports or Semi-Annual Certification Forms) as required for any personnel fully or partially funded with federal funds.
