Supervisory/Technical – Grade 15 ($46,496 - $51,909)
11-month (201 work days), Full-time
Scope of Responsibilities
Supports, trains, and maintains all systems and hardware associated with KPS virtual and blended programming. Creates opportunities for all students, families, and teachers to gain knowledge and develop expertise with learning online. Provides technical help desk support for the successful implementation of the virtual platforms including (but not limited to) Calvert Learning, Accelerate Learning, Canvas, Grad Point, and the Google Suite. Provides training in the use of technology and software for staff, students, and parent groups. Oversees and maintains all technology; problem solves and troubleshoots technology issues with all multi-media equipment.
Performance Responsibilities
- Provides technical support for the successful implementation of all district approved virtual programming.
- Creates and hosts parent, student, and staff live and/or virtual help support sessions.
- Catalogs, maintains, and distributes technology resources.
- Maintains and troubleshoots computer and AV systems in labs and classrooms.
- Serves as liaison between building and Technology Services.
- Responsible for the timely response to all virtual programming help desk tickets.
- Assists students and families with any challenges in turning in virtual work.
- Provides training and support to staff on virtual engagement platforms, intervention programs and basic system troubleshooting.
- Assists classroom teachers in developing student proficiency in the use of multimedia computer-based applications.
- Other tasks as designated by the Administrator.
Minimum Qualifications
- An associate’s degree or Undergraduate experience at a 4 year university.
- Demonstrated ability to train others in computers, educational software, and other technology.
- Demonstrated experience with Google platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service.
Desirable Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education or technical field.
- Demonstrated ability to apply multi-media technology for innovative/creative uses.
- Experience working with children in an educational setting.
