GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to provide veterinary care under the guidance of a licensed veterinarian, vaccinate animals, and maintain records. Cleans animal services facilities and equipment. Performs euthanasia when needed or required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleans, sanitizes and maintains dog runs and cat rooms.
- Feeds and medicates sick or injured animals.
- Vaccinates animals; maintains complete and accurate records.
- Provides euthanasia services for sick or injured animals.
- Sends euthanized animals for rabies testing.
- Assists the public with adopting animals; responds to questions and concerns.
- Performs related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- 6 months training beyond High School.
- No experience is required.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
