GENERAL SUMMARY
The purpose of this job is to coordinate and create digital content, including multilingual collateral. Maintain social media content calendar and monitor social media accounts for engagement. Assist departments with digital media needs and messaging.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and create County communications content according to platform guidelines, including but not limited to press releases, websites, videos, newsletters, and photos.
- Develop a centralized content calendar for various social media platforms and communications channels.
- Monitor social media accounts, engage with residents and followers, and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Assist in department initiatives with communications campaigns and messaging to ensure the County has a consistent voice and branding across all platforms.
- Carry design and web projects from concept to completion while adhering to strict brand standards and meeting production timelines.
- Track and analyze metrics from various sources, including the County website, social media platforms, email marketing platforms, and third-party tools.
- Develop and maintain the County's digital asset library, including updates with new photography, graphics, and b-roll.
- Perform related work as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- At least two years of relevant college-level course work or an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in communications, graphic design, public relations, journalism, or a related field. Bachelor's preferred.
- 1 to 3 years of related work experience, such as creating digital media content, especially for social media.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities.
Required Licenses or Certifications
- FEMA PIO Basics Certification is to be completed within one year of hire.
