Kalamazoo Christian Schools is looking to hire a Co-Band Director for the 2026-27 school year. The Co-Band Director will lead and co-teach band classes with the Band Teacher through a Christian perspective and provide support to the band program and the Band Director, as well as possibly provide other music education classes (i.e. jazz band, general music, MS Worship Team for Community Worship).

Responsibilities
- Direct band classes and co-teach band classes (with Band teacher) and sectionals for the purpose of giving instruction to students through a Christian Perspective.
- Evaluate student performing groups and give valuable feedback and critique of performances
- Manage equipment and music library
- Attend concerts and competitions outside or regular school hours (occasional)
- Woodwind or percussion specialist preferred
- Band director skills
- Bachelor’s degree, Music Education preferred
- Current Michigan teaching certification in subject area is preferred, willing to partner with the right candidate toward a path to certification after hire
