Senior Superintendent - Multifamily Construction

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in multifamily and apartment construction projects, with a focus on ground-up developments. This role requires a proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion.

Key Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience as a Superintendent in Multifamily construction
• Proficiency in managing ground-up apartment projects
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of on-site construction activities for multifamily and apartment projects
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all construction phases
• Monitor and control project costs, identifying potential cost savings without compromising quality
• Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the construction process
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and building codes
• Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to senior management and stakeholders

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of assistant superintendents, foremen, and skilled laborers
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members based on their skills and project requirements
• Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality results
• Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions

Safety Management

• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company safety policies
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for all on-site personnel

Subcontractor Management

• Coordinate and oversee the work of multiple subcontractors on-site

• Resolve conflicts and issues with subcontractors in a timely and professional manner
