Are you in or near Grand Rapids?If you're some combination of "yes" to the above, let's talk!What is the job?Kaiser IT Group is an IT consultancy for roughly 70 businesses in west Michigan. Founded in 2015, we're looking to hire a new employee as a Sales Manager.What’s the extended detail?You must be technical. This also includes being detail-oriented, and working to maintain a complex environment with processes, repeatable tasks.This job comes with a high level of trust. You must have good personal and business ethics, as shown by your work results, your ability to work independently, and your interactions with others. We employ trustworthy and responsible people, who are self-motivated, dependable, and have an engaging and friendly demeanor. You will be required to pass a background check.IT technical comfort is expected. We are mostly a Windows environment (with some Apple, Linux, IOT, and various hypervisors and hardware like Lenovo, Dell, Cisco, Mikrotik, Ubiquiti). Specific applications are used often, including Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Excel and Word) and ConnectWise, as well as interaction with various vendor and reseller contacts via website, phone, and email.We provide clients with what's needed for business IT, communications, security, and more. We operate with a high level of morals, trust and reliability.The job consists of two primary functions:Technical solution building and sales processing: Taking care of our client base, you would own the successful operation of the sales cycle, including initial solution design, quote generation, client sale confirmation, solution purchase, invoicing, and handoff to the technical team for implementation. This can involve client-facing work to present and discuss options.New sales development: Both internal and external sales. Internal sales include fostering a client-focused technical partnership and building and presenting periodic client reviews. External sales include generation of new client opportunities within the Michigan area. This includes RFP responses, prospecting, and managing advertising or marketing campaigns.If you want to keep hands-dirty, you can, but it's not a primary part of this role - you are not expected to be a technician and are not expected to provide technical support. This role interacts closely with others in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Management, and technical sales, but you're not responsible for those roles.What are the working conditions?Our company is small (10 employees) and some work from home periodically. In-office work is expected to start. We have onsite company meetings weekly. After we have consistent performance and established reliability, converting to some remote work is acceptable.You will need a car for your own transport, so you will need to be living in or near Grand Rapids.Any other job benefits?Travel expenses: All company-related travel is expensed, per mile, including from your house to our office.Simple IRA: KIG will match up to 3%.QSEHRA program with $1800/year company contribution.9 paid holidays.PTO: Full-time employees receive an annual allowance of three weeks (120 hours) at the beginning of each calendar year (January 1). PTO covers vacation, sick days, personal time, and any other personal needs.When am I working?KIG’s normal working hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday with an hour for lunch. There is some flexibility on timing, as long as the work gets done.
