What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lane Services-Outreach Coordinator position at KAIROS?
Primary Purpose
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, or related field preferred. Three years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency required in written and interpersonal communication skills and Microsoft Office applications including Excel. Preference given to candidates with behavioral health industry.
- Provide proof of current, valid Oregon Driver's License (or if out-of-state will obtain Oregon license within 30 days), comprehensive automobile insurance (if applicable) and a safe driving record (minimum of 3 yrs.) to use company or personal vehicle for required duties.
- Successfully pass a Criminal Background Check and Medicaid Fraud Check.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with community partners and internal Kairos departments.
- Participate in community partner meetings, workgroups, and networking events as an ambassador for Kairos’ services and mission.
- Research, organize, and attend community outreach events to recruit staff and Treatment Foster Parents and to share information about accessing services.
- Conduct informational presentations for community partners as assigned.
- Provide accurate and consistent program information to community partners in a variety of formats and settings.
- Assist with identifying new donor and community partner leads through tabling, outreach events, and public engagements, and share relevant information with the Development Team.
- Consistently meet program documentation requirements related to outreach activities and outcomes.
- Collect and analyze local demographic data and present findings to program leadership to inform quality improvement efforts.
- Demonstrate alignment with the agency’s clinical model and philosophy in interactions with youth and young adults, families, staff, and community partners.
- Adhere to ethical codes, mission, values, and professional standards, including confidentiality requirements.
- Actively utilize and follow agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Maintain a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and respectful interactions with youth and young adults, families, staff, visitors, and community partners.
- Perform all work tasks in a safe and appropriate manner in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Comply with all federal, state, and agency health and safety reporting requirements.

- Obtain and maintain current CPI Verbal De-Escalation Certification during employment.
- Obtain and maintain current First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification during employment.
- Obtain a Food Handler's Card once employed.
