Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for an Intake Coordinator. The Intake Coordinator will handle incoming patient referrals, coordinate admissions, and verify patient information and insurance coverage. Daily responsibilities include maintaining effective communication with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals; managing cases to ensure proper care plans are in place; and ensuring the efficient flow of information and documentation necessary for patient care processes.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare providers
- Experience in Case Management and understanding of Medical Terminology
- Knowledge of Insurance verification processes and healthcare coverage policies
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare or a related field is preferred
