The Client Director, Workday Services Americas is a senior member of the services team in the America’s. You will be accountable for customer relationships, renewals and project delivery within your customer base. You will own the customer relationship at a senior level, overseeing all aspects of project delivery and be a senior point of escalation. This is a strategic role within the Kainos Workday practice, so you will interact with other senior levels within Kainos and the customer organization. The Client Director will be measured on client satisfaction, retention, and business contribution within the region and the regional account base.

The Client Director, Workday Services Americas is a senior member of the services team in the America’s. You will be accountable for customer relationships, renewals and project delivery within your customer base. This is a strategic role within the Kainos Workday practice, so you will interact with other senior levels within Kainos and the customer organization. The Client Director will be measured on client satisfaction, retention, and business contribution within the region and the regional account base.
Your Key Responsibilities Include
- Owns and develops relationships within the existing customer base in your region.
- Positions Workday products and Kainos products and services into the America’s customer base.
- Actively supports the sales process through supporting the Regional Sales Directors and broader sales team on net new account opportunities
- Partners with engagement teams during project delivery to manage customer expectations and satisfaction.
- Partners with local delivery teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Works with a Regional Sales Director to help develop joint go-to-market strategies and plan joint customer value reviews.
- Accountable for project financials delivering to the agreed budget and project margins.
- Serves on and actively participates in customer steering committee meetings.
- Develops and sustains customer executive relationships.
- Serves as the overall escalation point for resolving customer issues including deployment, contractual, and relationship issues.
- Works with a customer to drive strategies for steady adoption of Workday's innovation by matching new features and products to relevant business outcomes.
- Maintains expertise on industry trends/practices and competitive landscape
- Identifies up-sell, cross-sell, and AMS extension sales opportunities.
- Has a strong presence and confidence, exhibiting professional maturity, strong communication skills with 12-15 years of working experience.
- Excellent customer focus, able to assess customer needs and build relationships at a strategic and senior level. You will be expected to proactively identify risks and intervene effectively.
- You will be expected to resolve customer escalations appropriately.
- Excellent communicator who can communicate with customers and colleagues alike.
- Sound ability to formally present to senior client audiences
- Excellent high level consulting experience in an implementation environment.
- Knowledge of project management disciplines and processes.
- Strong commercial awareness and complete understanding of project management and business dynamics, preferably within Workday or other cloud ERP solutions.
- Broad business and technology understanding and a good awareness of industry trends in both HR/HR technology and Financials/Financials internationally.
- Deadline driven, able to make sensible decisions under pressure while taking a balanced view of Client demands and Kainos commercials.
- Ability to widen and maintain a people and advisory network.
- An acknowledged expert capable of thought leadership.
- Regular participant in sales activities and responsible for the oversight of the production of estimates for bids for all account base opportunities within the region.
- Understanding of risk management and able to support the management of risks within our customer projects.
- Ability to travel to customer sites if required.
- Willingness to ‘roll up one’s sleeves’ and assist wherever needed.
- The ability to balance customer demands and success with sales targets.
- Working within the Workday ecosystem or with other SaaS delivery methodologies.
- Strong functional domain expertise including areas such as core HR and Finance, Analytics and Payroll.
- Experience of managing, mentoring, and developing teams.
