Kai Ming, Inc. seeks UI/UX Designer.
Master's degree in a visual design related field such as graphic design, architecture, visual communication, or a related field. Must pass background check and obtain TB clearance.
Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience including a Bachelor's degree in a visual design related field such as graphic design, architecture, visual communication or a related field, and 24 months of experience in a job involving UI/UX job duties. Must pass background check and obtain TB clearance.
Job duties:
● Conduct testing of sample applications, websites, and software to create user experience that is cognitively meaningful, with ease of design
● Work closely with an internal software engineer to implement design changes
● Use recent studies and findings to establish the best overall design elements to include in UX design experiences
● Build storyboards to conceptualize designs to accurately convey project plans to clients and senior management
● Create surveys for research through various media platforms to gather feedback on user's ease of use and satisfaction with interfacing on company websites and products
● Design the aesthetics to be implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colors and fonts allowing for interface edits as needed
● Enhance the user experience by creating seamless navigation through various digital programs and interfaces within the company
● Redesign the internal web-based Jupiter data reporting system, which is used by the management team and our childcare center staff.
● Design a mobile app of Jupiter with selective functions. I.e. a personal dashboard based on the reporting requirement of the position, for both web-based and mobile apps.
● Obtain user feedback and implement design changes in response to feedback
● Analyze processes between management and centers, provide improvements for center support and file review experience
● Monitor user experience and provide training and coaching to increase user skill level
● Redesign web page and mobile apps for ECE STEP and SubStart based on user experience and feedback data
● Analyze and improve on the new hire recruitment and intake process for both Kai Ming and ECE STEP employees
● Other duties as assigned
