Pay: $49/hour to $49.25/hour (Depending on shift)

Experience

• Experience administering oral and intramuscular medications
• Psychiatric or mental health nursing experience preferred
  
  

Education

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Hawaii
• Current BLS certification

Kahu Malama Nurses is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to residents in a specialized residential mental health treatment program
• Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer and monitor medications, including oral and intramuscular medications, and provide medication education
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and interdisciplinary treatment teams to coordinate patient care and treatment plans
• Provide health education, counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation support to help residents develop daily living skills
• Coordinate discharge planning and connect residents with community resources and support services
• Maintain accurate patient records, complete reports, and participate in treatment plan reviews and quality assurance activities
• Supervise assigned nursing staff, provide clinical guidance, coordinate assignments, and assist with staff training and performance evaluations
• Help maintain compliance with nursing standards, facility policies, and applicable licensing and accreditation requirements
  
  

Position Requirements

• Strong assessment, documentation, and care-planning skills
• Leadership ability to supervise and guide nursing staff
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within an interdisciplinary team
• Availability to work the evening shift, including weekends as scheduled
