Kahler Slater is seeking a registered Project Architect with 7 years experience for our Corporate, Hospitality, and Residential team. Successful candidates are design forward, technically savvy, problem solvers, and passion players.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct the work of both internal and external team members
- Coordinate the project’s design intent with technical requirements
- Work in all phases of the project from concept through construction administration
- Interact with client as well as with contractors, consultants, and public authorities
- Provide schedule, staffing, and budget support to Project Manager
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Professional degree in Architecture
- Architectural license is required
- 7 years of experience on projects with increasing responsibilities
- 4 years of Revit production experience, and proficiency utilizing Revit
- Experience in corporate, hospitality and/or residential building typologies
- Experience in the selection of building materials and systems
- Successful team-orientation and collaboration behaviors
- Diligence in seeking solutions to complex problems
- Strong communications skills, spoken, written, and graphic
- Efficiently responds to client needs
- Coaching mindset
- Effective time management with multiple deadlines
- Maintains a positive, professional attitude

- Report to Project Manager
- Collaborate with Team Leaders

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed in a professional, collaborative, creative, open office environment. As is customary in the industry for professional design staff, “full-time” will exceed 2,080 hours over the course of the year. Great flexibility in your schedule is both required of you and returned to you due to our many project deadlines. Occasional travel is expected as it relates to servicing clients and professional development.
