Come join us at Kahl Home! We are a Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm since 1955. Our state-of-the-art services, amenities, and excellent staff make Kahl Home a premier nursing facility in the Quad Cities.
We are looking for a LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or RN - Registered Nurse.
* 12-Hour Shifts - 6a to 6p; 3 shifts per week Every Other Weekend.
LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or RN - Registered Nurse Qualifications:
- Graduation from accredited nursing program.
- Current Iowa LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or RN - Registered Nurse license.
- Previous experience as a staff nurse/charge nurse in which supervisory and leadership abilities have been demonstrated is preferred.
LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse or RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary:
- Respond to all staff, family members and residents in a courteous, patient and caring manner.
- Follow established standards of nursing practices and implement facility policies and procedures.
- Interpret existing policies and procedures to nursing staff, residents, families and physicians.
- Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Manage shift change reports and record sufficient information to implement appropriate follow-up action.
- Conduct resident rounds daily, reporting problems to nursing supervisor and initiating corrective action immediately.
