Kahala Nui, Hawaii’s premier senior living community, is seeking a Full-Time Dining Room Host/Hostess to join our team.
POSITION SUMMARY: The Host/Hostess is responsible for greeting and seating residents and guests in a timely and professional manner, while maintaining departmental hospitality and service standards. Assist the manager in coordinating the flow and organization of the dining room floor.
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: LUNCH (10:30am - 2:30pm) & DINNER (4:30pm - 9:00pm) times may vary depending on operations need.
This is a non-tipping position
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Prior experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.
- Must be available to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous hosting or front-of-house experience in a restaurant.
- Experience in high-volume or fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of dining etiquette and formal service standards.
