Shift 1 - Mon-Thurs 6am - 4:30pm; Shift 2 Sun-Thurs. 4:30pm - 1am,
Weekend Fri-Sun 6am - 6:30pm
Compensation - wage - $19-23 hourly $2.00/hr shift differential (2nd& weekend shift)
Up to $2,000 sign on bonus available

Job purpose
You are a skilled welder; cutting and joining metals and other materials at our facility. You use appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision. Your job is "key" as it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure of our systems. Kage Innovation welder's must be competent in understanding of different kinds of metals and their properties and proficient in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety precautions. A steady hand and great attention to detail is essential.
Duties and responsibilities
- Keep all tools / equipment organized and neat that relate to welding operations.
- Learn all aspects of our welding process. Take a hands-on approach to this. Get involved so that you have experience in the processes that are required.
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
- Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
- Inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Follow all other procedures pertaining to welding operations.
- Tightly adhere to the production schedule. If goals cannot be met, bring it to the attention of your supervisor, and help determine a solution.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education -Welding certifications preferred
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures to 1/32nd"
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Kage operational and safety process understanding
- Proven - minimal errors in process
Working conditions
This position will be subject to hot and cold environments. Regular evening and weekend work in certain seasons are necessary, including differential shift work and working outdoors.
Physical requirements
This is a physically demanding job. You will be expected to consistently be on your feet for up to 12 hours. Regular lifting of lbs. while performing repetive tasks with few breaks is common.
