Treatment Implementation: Conduct therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities as outlined in the PT’s plan of care.
The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for long periods, kneel, stoop, and lift or move patients and heavy equipment

Treatment Implementation: Conduct therapeutic exercises, gait training, and balance activities as outlined in the PT’s plan of care.
- Administer physical agents such as heat, cold, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound. Assist and train residents in using devices like walkers, canes, and prosthetics.
- Observe residents before, during, and after therapy; report status changes or adverse reactions to the supervising PT.
- Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and billing records, in compliance with federal and state regulations (e.g., CMS standards).
- Instruct residents, families, and facility staff on prescribed exercises, safety techniques, and discharge plans.
- Maintain established productivity levels and efficiency standards set by the administration.
- Licensure: Active state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification is often required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a skilled nursing is typically preferred.
