Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)- School Setting
POSITION SUMMARY: Provides language, speech and hearing services to students diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and developmental disabilities. Provides individual and group services specific to Speech and Language development. Ensures treatment efficacy, adherence to internal policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance. Provides ongoing hands-on training, support, and supervision of speech and language goal implementation and data collection across the clinical teams to ensure quality and consistency of service provision. Functions as a collaborative member of the clinical team to promote an optimal client and team member experience in line with Kadiant values.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct assessments, evaluations, and monitor ongoing performance of client overall communication abilities, needs, and development

Consultations with regional centers
-
Develop language, speech and hearing goals and objectives
-
Establish appropriate instructional/learning environment for the client
-
Develop instructional activities to meet each client’s individual language, speech, and hearing goals and objectives
-
Prepare progress reports for individual clients including progress on goals and recommendations for language, speech and hearing services
-
Reassess/evaluate client progress and submit reports in a timely manner
-
Maintain communication with clinical team (e.g., progress reports, consultation, telephone calls, informal notes, etc.).

Maintain communication with parents regarding progress on goals

Review and discuss treatment recommendations with the Region Director

Provide education and consultation services to team members and parents for intervention strategies to meet speech and language goals

Work collaboratively in a positive, problem-solving manner, with flexibility and active communication across Directors, administrative and clinical team; model and promote company values

Ensure completion of administrative duties (e.g., maintain records of service delivery and outcomes, current schedules, intervention notes)

Ensure billing is accurate and completed in a timely manner, assist administrative team, as necessary

Attend clinical meetings, as needed

Participate in team development activities, as needed

Follow all Company policies and procedures, as outlined in Team Member Handbook and other written documents

Perform other duties, as requested
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of an accredited university with a Master’s degree.

Speech Language Pathologist license in state of employment.
-
State license is required in the state you work in

Must adhere to and complete all requested ongoing CEUs, training, and certification renewals.
