- Troubleshoot and repair overhead cranes ranging in size from 5 ton to 100ton.
- Remove, rebuild and reinstall hydraulic pumps and cylinders.
- Thorough knowledge of gears, bearings and bushing installation and removal.
- Knowledge of CNC controls from FANUC, Heidenhain and Siemens to aide in repair.
- Remove and reinstall CNC machine spindles of various sizes and designs.
- Efficiently diagnose electrical failures in CNC type equipment.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration relating to CNC machine chillers.
- Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Ability to bend & install electrical conduit and solder copper piping
- Remove, repair, and reinstall varying types of CNC machine way covers.
- Service rotary screw type air compressors, such as oil and filter changes.
- Understanding of plastic injection molding equipment and related process.
- Understanding of PM programs and it related tasks.
- Ability to comfortably work from heights on ladders and aerial boom lifts.
- At least 5 years previous experience of being a well-rounded maintenance mechanic
- Knowledge of welding, electricity, and other related disciplines is desired
