JOB SUMMARY:
 This position is responsible for developing training curricula and materials to enhance the competencies of pharmacy staff. This position creates, designs, and drafts new training materials in collaboration with operational leadership using a variety of presentation software and delivery methods. Trainers are a strategic and operational contributor to the implementation of new training modules. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
1. Collaborates with the Director of Corporate Operations to identify and assess business and operational needs for pharmacy personnel training. 
2. Researches and identifies areas in which training meets business needs, analyses current training resources, and provides recommendations for improvement of pharmacy training process and documentation.   
3. Maintains overall knowledge of the current system of dispense process, procedure, and utility, and can work in the current system of dispense in a pharmacy technician or Pharmacist capacity. 
4. Develops training curricula and materials to be used in workshop, group, and one-to-one training sessions. Training programs may be delivered through a variety of methods based on subject matter, audience to include in-person, remote and hybrid models of engagement. 
5. Evaluates and selects training supplies and materials to enhance understanding and learning of training content. 
6. Coordinates schedules of training sessions with locations, reserving room space, as needed, and prepares learning materials and training aids to ensure learner readiness. 
7. Provides guidance to the pharmacies on communicating in a concise and professional manner with outside agencies to address issues related to patient care and retrieval of labs.   
8. Develops post-training assessment tools to demonstrate and measure impact on pharmacy goals. Provides follow-up when identified or needed.   
9. Conducts employee assessments to determine skill level for the following functions: proactively managing patients' medication/supply/equipment inventory needs and communicates with patient or responsible party prior to filling anticipated needs. 
10. Creates, administers, evaluates, identifies, and logs results of employees participating in learning assessments and training. Discusses outcomes of training with Director of Operations and/or Director of Pharmacy.   
11. Creates tracking methods, audits, and maintains completed training records. Actively participates in cross functional training and development committee(s). 
12. Collaborates with cross functional subject matter experts to define key content areas.   
13. Collaborates closely with Operational leaders to assess needs, strategically map training to identified needs, develop and deliver essential training to help implement more effective processes at pharmacy sites.   
14. Evaluates training for effectiveness and modifies training as needed.   
15. Other related duties as assigned. 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 
• Education or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree is required. 
• Current and violation free Pharmacy Technician Certification as required by State law in the state requesting employment.   

• Experience with compounding IV medications following USP 797 guidelines preferred.
