Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper medication use and safety
- Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy staff including technicians and support personnel
- Manage inventory, ordering, and controlled substance recordkeeping
- Ensure adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws and HIPAA regulations
- Build strong relationships with patients, prescribers, and the local community
- Monitor and improve pharmacy performance metrics, including prescription volume and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
- Active Connecticut Pharmacist license in good standing
- Previous pharmacy management or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of retail/community pharmacy operations and POS/dispensing software
- Excellent patient counseling and communication skills
- Ability to manage staff, delegate tasks, and foster a positive team environment
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care
