About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead the market introduction of a new ultrasonic flow meter. Reporting directly to the President, you will collaborate closely with our Sales and Engineering teams to launch this product, initially targeting the Biopharmaceutical and Semiconductor market segments. This is a highly strategic role where you will develop sales channels directly to end-users and onboard new channel partners to drive significant growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Acquire and develop new customers and key accounts to drive sales growth and deliver on agreed-upon budget and order numbers.
- Identify key applications and successfully penetrate new market segments.
- Champion the new product both internally and externally while managing existing key accounts.
- Provide hands-on technical customer support and communicate macro market trends to the leadership team.
- Develop key marketing collateral, including training and application presentations, to drive the promotional strategy.
- Analyze and communicate the competitive landscape to continuously refine product differentiation and value propositions.
- Identify necessary product line enhancements and provide accurate monthly sales forecasts.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Technical Degree is required; an MBA is considered a strong advantage.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in technical sales or marketing.
- Direct experience in process control or instrumentation.
- A deep understanding of manufacturing processes within the Biopharmaceutical or Semiconductor industries.
- Familiarity with key original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) supporting these target industries.
- A proven track record in key account management and successfully developing new market segments.
- Experience building and managing a successful distribution channel.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically for a minimum of 50% of the time.
- Bonus: Knowledge of other industrial markets (Chemical, Food & Beverage, Water and Waste, Agriculture, Automotive, Oil & Gas) is highly desirable.
