What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager position at Kaas Settlement Consulting?
Kaas Settlement Consulting helps individuals and families navigate life-changing financial transitions after injury, loss, or litigation. We blend technical settlement expertise with deep empathy — every case here is a transition, not a transaction. We're a small, busy, mission-driven team, and we're looking for a Case Manager who's ready to be an essential part of it.
The Role
Think of this as a financial emergency room where the work is meaningful, the pace is relentless, and the details matter enormously. As Case Manager, you'll be the operational heartbeat of our cases — managing the flow between clients, attorneys, and the internal team, running quotes, preparing and reviewing settlement documents, and keeping every case moving accurately and on time. It's a mid-level role with a genuine growth path: strong performers at Kaas Settlement Consulting advance quickly, and the compensation reflects it.
What You'll Do
- Manage cases from intake through resolution, tracking every deadline and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
- Coordinate with attorneys, clients, and external partners to gather documents, process applications, and move cases forward
- Run quotes and proposals; prepare, review, and organize settlement documents, case files, and correspondence
- Serve as a professional, empathetic point of contact for clients and their families
- Maintain accurate records and case notes in Salesforce; keep digital files organized and current
- Support senior Case Coordinators and Settlement Planners in client meeting prep and case documentation
- Identify process improvements and contribute to team coverage and efficiency as needed
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience in legal, financial, or professional services strongly preferred; case management or high-volume admin background a plus
- Detail-oriented — you catch what others miss and understand why it matters
- Self-starter who takes initiative without waiting to be told what needs doing
- Calm under pressure; able to manage a fast inbox and shifting priorities without losing your footing
- Genuine empathy — our clients are often grieving, overwhelmed, or in crisis, and how you show up for them matters
- Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Comfortable and enthusiastic about AI tools — we're a fully paperless, tech-forward office
- Spanish-speaking preferred
