Job Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities: pump repair, minor welding and fabrication, daily rounds, greasing and oiling, service of rolling stock, all items serviced per services schedule, equipment replacement
Inspect, test and adjust repairs of all physical plant machinery, heating, cooling, piping and fire water systems
Inspect, test, and rebuild pumps in accordance with recommended schedules
Maintain shop vehicles and parts room
Maintain records of all inspections, tests, and repairs
Clean up after each job is completed

Working Hours:
Monday- Friday 8am- 4:30pm and must be available for overtime work and/ or on a call-in basis as the plant is operational 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
6 months or more institutional maintenance experience preferred
Must have in depth knowledge of pumps, seals, bearings, and alignment techniques
Knowledge of methods and techniques used in plumbing, electrical systems, air-conditioning and mechanics regarding pumps, refrigeration and automotive repairs preferred
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to others and work well as a team
Basic computer experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
6 months or more institutional maintenance experience preferred
Must have in depth knowledge of pumps, seals, bearings, and alignment techniques
