Dog Handler

K9 Nanni is a very reputable Daycare, boarding and Training center that caters to the northern New Jersey area. We are one of the largest day care's in our area. Our number one goal is to have happy, balanced and tired dogs after a long day of supervised play! We all have a special love, passion, and dedication to the dogs that attend our center. We’re looking to add new members to our pack. Here’s a few things we are looking for in our new pack members:

Weekend positions needed!!! This is for a part time.

Must have reliable transportation.

Must have a passion and understanding of dog behavior.

Must be confident with dogs.

Looking for part time positions. Full time may be available.

Shifts required are closing shifts (2-9:30pm), day shifts and weekend shifts (daytime or closing).

Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma/GED.

Must have at least 1 year of professional pet care experience.

Must be available to work ALL HOLIDAYS & weekends.

Must be flexible with schedule.

Responsibilities-

• Cleaning duties. Cleaning is 80% of the job. It includes, sweeping, mopping, dusting, taking out trash, picking up dog waste, and wiping windows of cabins/suites.
• Supervise dogs that come in for daycare.
• Read body language of the dogs. (Must understand how dogs communicate with each other and with us humans. Be able to catch on to negative/nervous body language.)
• Able to separate dogs when play becomes too rough
• Be assertive with dogs without using excess force.
• Love to be outdoors in all weather types.
• Work efficiently alone but also as a team member.
• Have a good understanding of certain dog breeds’ personalities.
• Be detail oriented.
• Able to remain calm under unexpected and stressful situations.
• Must be observant and patient.
• Must also have good communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
