K2 Claims Services, LLC, a subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, LLC, is seeking a full-time Staff Accountant to join its Accounting team at its Harrisburg, PA office.
K2, through its affiliated insurance companies and agencies, continues to expand its product offerings and distribution by developing new insurance programs and increasing the number and geographic diversity of its marketing, sales, underwriting, and support staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of two staff accountants.
- Oversee staff accountants’ tasks and processes and serve as back-up.
- Process monthly and quarterly Sales tax.
- Manage, review general ledgers of 3 companies for accuracy.
- Assist controller with month end close process includes accruals, journal entries, allocations, account analysis and reconciliation.
- Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliation.
- Review staff accountant’s revenue invoicing.
- Calculate and record revenue based on contract terms monthly.
- Oversee the track receivables.
- Oversee monitoring and communication of carrier account balances.
- Oversee claims auditing.
- Assist with day-to-day, monthly, and year end accounting transactions.
- Review and oversee distributions of interest, subrogation payments, and refunds for carriers.
- Assist and prepare for annual audit and franchise tax filings.
Qualifications:.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related major is required.
- 2 years of accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Familiarity with working in a multi-company environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- High ethical and confidentiality standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.

Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
