About The Role
The Thames Water Shared Apprenticeship Scheme are looking for a HR Support Apprentice. In the Hemel Hempstead Area.
The Thames Water Shared Apprenticeship Scheme, is a bespoke apprenticeship programme sponsored by Thames Water to address the skills gaps within their supply chain. The scheme features a compulsory industry rotation to enable apprentices to get experience in different environments and boost the chances of further employment in the sector.
Duties
HR support apprentices assist in daily administrative and human resources duties in an organisation. They play a pivotal role in creating a harmonious and productive work environment. Duties may include:

Typical Working Week
40 hours p/w with start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00 inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.
About You
Person Specification
The passion and commitment to work in human resources. It will be advantageous if you already have previous related work experience or completed HR/CIPD related qualifications, but certainly not essential.
Key Training/College Information
K10 will enrol you to the Level 3 HR Support course and fund your qualifications through an accredited training provider.
On completion of this Apprenticeship, you may be eligible to apply for Associate membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or any other professional body that recognises this apprenticeship within its membership criteria.
The apprenticeship duration is 21 Months.

- Providing policy guidance, offering information on company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Manage employee relations by mediating conflicts, conducting investigations, and facilitating communication.
- Assist in recruitment, including job postings, initial interviews, and coordinating onboarding for new hires.
- Supporting internal and external inquiries and requests related to the HR department
- Support performance management, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues.
- Coordinate HR-related training programs, workshops and seminars
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations, assisting in legal employment matters.
- Participate in initiatives to develop and nurture a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate and secure employee records and documentation.

- No two days are the same on the front line and not every day goes to plan, so you’ll need to be quick on your feet to respond!

- Ability to visit different sites and training days

- Living in England for the last 3 years and have right to work status
- Have a full UK Driving Licence and full access to your own vehicle
- Not enrolled on any other courses
- 18 due to site H&S rules
