Fiber Optic SplicerAkron, OHK&R Construction is a center of excellence in the field of Infrastructure Services by striving continuously to provide ecofriendly solutions, adopting state-of-the-art practices and commitment to quality through motivated human resources.We are currently seeking a full-time Fiber Optic Splicer to join our team in Akron, OH to join or construction team and support ongoing fiber installation projects.What can we offer YOU:Medical & HSADentalVision401(k)PTOCompetitive paySchedule:Mon-Fri7 am-5 pmSome weekends may be requiredQualifications:2-3 years of relevant experience requiredValid Driver’s license requiredValid CDL-A preferredAbility to multitaskAbility to lift 50 lbs.Responsibilities:Splice and terminate fiber-optic cables in a variety of work settingsInspect, test, and diagnose fiber-optic systems to confirm they are operating correctly and meeting performance standards.Keep detailed and accurate documentation of completed work.Work closely with project managers and fellow technicians to organize and carry out fiber-optic installation jobs.Follow all safety rules and procedures when working in the field and when using tools and equipment.Preform routine upkeep and repairs on existing fiber-optic networks as required.Remain informed about new developments, tools, and best practices within fiber-optic technology.Complete all other duties assigned.Does this sound like the position for you?
