Essential Functions:
- Operates fabrication equipment and machines on the shop floor.
- Sets up assigned machinery in designated work cells.
- Sets up dies.
- Operates Press Brake
- Works in all designated areas within the facility as determined by the current work in process.
- Checks finished products to ensure high quality or work.
- Operates forklift or pallet jack to move product as needed.
- Assists other departments as directed. Operates various machines as needed.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Complies with company and department safety and work practice policies and procedures as applicable.
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area.
- Accurately records material and job order transactions as directed.
- Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems and related information necessary for effective management.
- Attends training as directed as apparent or assigned.
- Performs all other duties as apparent or assigned
Required
- 5-10 years of machinist experience or combination of vocational certification and equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to set up machines and dies for various jobs.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Ability to read blueprints and dimensions.
- Ability to work a schedule based on the understanding of responsibilities and priorities.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions and communicate with other personnel in English.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work in a manner that promotes a safe working environment.
- Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required.
- Ability to perform machinist duties when required.
