What You’ll Do
As a Project Manager / Project Engineer, you will lead projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring successful delivery across all phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle: planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
- Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, automation, procurement, installation, and commissioning
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and progress reports
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Manage change orders, scope adjustments, and client approvals
- Oversee subcontractor selection, contracts, and performance
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
- Lead onsite meetings, troubleshoot issues, and drive project execution to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 3 years of experience managing industrial, manufacturing, or turnkey projects
- Experience with one or more of the following:
- Material handling systems / conveyor systems
- Paint shop systems (Sealer, UBC, Primer, Base, Clear)
- Automation or process plant environments
- Proficiency with MS Project, Primavera, or similar tools
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel ~50%
Preferred Experience
- Background in automotive manufacturing (Toyota, Tier 1, OEM)
- Experience with robotics (Fanuc, Kawasaki), PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
- Exposure to installation, commissioning, and equipment buyoffs
- Understanding of capital project budgets and cost control
Work Environment
- Combination of office-based work and onsite project support
- Frequent travel to client facilities, manufacturing plants, and project sites
- Hands-on involvement during installation and commissioning phases
