K&J Tree Service is growing and hiring a Director of Operations to take full ownership of field execution, crew performance, and operational systems.
With 15 crews in the field and a strong reputation in the market, this role is critical to scaling the business while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real authority and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily field operations across 15 crews
- Oversee scheduling, production planning, and job execution
- Drive crew productivity, accountability, and performance
- Manage fleet, equipment, and shop readiness
- Ensure safety compliance and operational discipline
- Build and improve systems, processes, and workflows
Qualifications
- 7 years of operations leadership experience
- 3–5 years managing field-based service operations
- Experience managing 40 field employees
- Background in tree service, construction, landscaping, utilities, or similar industry
- Experience with CDL workforce and heavy equipment operations preferred
- Strong safety leadership and field presence
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
