About the Role
The Director of Operations should be an organized, detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver to help us run efficiently behind the scenes, supporting our mission to grow jobs and economic opportunity for Connecticut residents. The Director of Operations will provide planning, coordination, and oversight of the organization’s core operational functions, including finance, human resources, information technology, facilities, and board administration, and provide general administrative support. The Director of Operations collaborates with external vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. It is an ideal role for someone who enjoys problem-solving, has strong organization skills and attention to accuracy, works efficiently, and is capable of multitasking and broad organizational responsibility.
Requirements
- 7-10 years of experience in an administrative or operations role; nonprofit experience preferred. Will consider for either the Associate Director or Director level, depending on experience.
- Familiarity with finance, human resources, facilities, IT, board administration, and/or nonprofit workflows in a small company environment.
- Proficiency with tools including Teams, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SugarCRM.
- Comfort with working independently and handling sensitive information with discretion.
