Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical teams on commercial construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan daily activities, manage schedules, and meet project milestones using tools like Primavera P6 and construction management software.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide installation processes.
- Oversee quality control measures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment, including heavy electrical components, ensuring timely delivery and proper inventory control.
- Monitor project budgets, track labor hours, and assist with construction estimating using tools such as HeavyBid.
- Supervise subcontractors and vendors while maintaining clear communication channels for smooth project execution.
- Document progress through detailed reports utilizing Bluebeam or similar construction management software; maintain accurate records of site activities.
- Enforce safety protocols on-site by conducting regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions for team members.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues with diagnostic tools like ohmmeters; ensure all work meets industry standards for quality.
Requirements
- 5 years commercial electrical experience
- Experience leading crews on commercial projects
- Ability to read electrical plans and coordinate installations
- Maryland or DC journeyman license preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
