We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Driver to transport materials and equipment safely and efficiently. This position primarily operates intrastate routes, with opportunities for interstate trips as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong driving skills, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Pay will be determined based on expertise, but $150.00/day rate to begin plus $0.50/mile.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies
- Transport materials, equipment, or goods to designated job sites and customer locations
- Primarily perform intrastate deliveries, with occasional interstate routes when required
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage records, and delivery documentation
- Secure loads properly to ensure safe transportation
- Communicate with dispatch or supervisors regarding delivery schedules and route changes
- Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws
- Assist with loading and unloading materials when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicle
- The driver must comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and applicable state regulations, as well as company policies and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) (Class A or B depending on vehicle requirements)
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Clean driving record
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely and responsibly
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to lift, move, or secure materials as needed
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Prior commercial driving experience preferred but not always required
Work Environment
- Primarily local/intrastate driving
- Potential interstate travel opportunities
- Outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Occasional lifting, securing loads, and equipment handling
