Payroll Specialist – Jzanus Home Care Inc. - West Hempstead, NY

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of payroll experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage payroll accurately in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Experience with HHA Exchange and Viventium is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Review, audit, and reconcile employee timesheets and electronic visit verification (EVV) records.
• Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, missing punches, and timekeeping issues.
• Process payroll adjustments, overtime, PTO, and other earnings and deductions.
• Maintain employee payroll records while ensuring confidentiality.
• Collaborate with HR, Scheduling, and Billing departments to resolve payroll-related inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company payroll policies and procedures.
• Generate payroll reports and assist with audits as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service to caregivers and office staff regarding payroll questions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience (required).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) (required).
• Home care or healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Experience with HHA Exchange and Viventium is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict payroll deadlines.
• High level of accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of New York State home care payroll practices.
• Familiarity with EVV compliance and timekeeping processes.
• Experience reconciling payroll reports and preparing audit documentation
