Duties
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates using industry-standard software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to develop comprehensive bids aligned with client needs and project requirements.
- Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong professional relationships.
- Oversee project execution from start to finish, coordinating with construction teams to ensure adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Manage project scope changes, track costs meticulously, and implement effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local building codes during all phases of work.
- Collaborate closely with construction management teams to monitor progress on-site, resolve issues promptly, and maintain safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong background in electrical systems and projects.
- Demonstrated project management skills within the construction industry, including contract administration and scope management.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of NEC standards, electrical codes, and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure contracts and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Strong electrical experience combined with hands-on construction site knowledge to accurately assess project needs.
