Cross Country Land Services is expanding. We’re looking for an experienced Civil Project Manager / Estimator to help lead that transition.
This role bridges pre-construction bidding and on-site execution — from takeoff and competitive proposals through subcontractor coordination, field oversight, and project closeout.
- Prepare estimates and competitive bid proposals for federal, state, municipal, and private civil work
- Manage awarded projects from contract execution through final closeout
- Develop budgets, schedules, subcontractor scopes, and procurement strategies
- Track project financial performance, manage change orders, and control job costs
- Coordinate directly with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews
- Ensure compliance with site safety, environmental (Maine DEP), and applicable labor standards
- 5 years of heavy civil estimating and/or project management experience (earthwork, utilities, environmental infrastructure, site prep, or roadway construction)
- Experience with prevailing wage / Davis-Bacon and certified payroll requirements strongly preferred — this is a priority for our municipal and federal work
- Strong command of civil construction means, methods, plan reading, and spec review
- Ability to travel regionally (ME, NH, VT, MA) as project locations require
- Excellent communication, organizational, and subcontractor management skills
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
