Overview
We are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Floor Man to join our manufacturing facility supporting production processes. This position requires some heavy lifting of bags of plastic materials.
Responsibilities
- Use hand tools and fabrication techniques for machine adjustments and minor repairs.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify defects or issues in molded parts and implement corrective actions.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives by maintaining organized workstations and adhering to safety protocols.
- Assist with assembly, fabrication, and other production tasks as needed within the manufacturing floor.
- Document production activities accurately and report any machine malfunctions or quality concerns promptly.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing equipment .
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; warehouse experience is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction.
- Knowledge of materials handling procedures within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail in fabrication and machining tasks. This role is integral to our production operations, requiring a combination of technical skills, safety awareness, and a commitment to quality standards.
