A manufacturing company in Stamford, CT that provides services to the beauty industry is hiring a Senior Accountant.
This role is 3-4 days onsite (must be flexible).
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain records of all payments and expenditures, including payroll, purchase orders, invoices, and statements
- Maintain accurate and organized historical financial records
- Process employee reimbursements by reviewing expense reports and preparing payments
- Manage vendor payments by scheduling disbursements and ensuring timely settlement of outstanding balances
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues
- Serve as a liaison between Accounting and Purchasing to resolve accounts payable discrepancies
- Maintain and update vendor records to ensure data accuracy within the system
- Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation and responding to inquiries
- Collaborate with the Purchasing team to understand system workflows and improve financial processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 3–7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-currency environment
- Experience with:
- Account reconciliations
- General ledger maintenance
- Accounts receivable
- Payroll reconciliation and reporting
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Experience with financial consolidation and currency translation
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Salary : $135,000 - $145,000
