Our client, a multi-manager hedge fund, is seeking a Sector Data Analyst to support its Industrials and Technology investment efforts. This role sits directly within the investment team, partnering with analysts and PMs to enhance research workflows and generate differentiated insights through data and emerging technologies.
ROLE IDEALLY BASED IN PALM BEACH, FL (can also sit NYC/SF)
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with analysts and PMs to support fundamental research across Industrials and Technology
- Leverage data and emerging technologies to improve how investment insights are sourced, processed, and analyzed
- Develop efficient workflows to clean, organize, and synthesize large datasets
- Build lightweight tools and processes that improve how investment teams interact with data and research outputs
- Apply AI/LLM-based tools to streamline research, automate workflows, and enhance idea generation
- Translate investment questions into scalable, data-driven outputs that inform decision-making
Profile Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience in a data, analytics, or applied technical role
- Strong Python skills with the ability to work across large datasets
- Experience building practical solutions or workflows (not just analyzing data)
- Familiarity with AI/LLM tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, Codex or similar) and interest in applying them in an investment context
- Ability to work directly with investment professionals in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical mindset with an interest in financial markets
Preferred
- Experience supporting an investment team or hedge fund clients
- Background at a hedge fund, data vendor, or applied AI / research-driven environment
- Exposure to alternative or non-traditional datasets
Salary : $200,000 - $450,000
